Mid-fifties looks good from here.
Not in the apologetic way people sometimes mean it. In the real way. The assured way. The beautiful, funny, fully inhabited way. The kind of age that knows what is worth wearing, what is worth doing, what is worth laughing at, and what can be left behind without regret.
PaulaKah exists because one day is not enough.
Some people get a dinner and a cake. Paula gets a whole October mood board: candlelight, color, softness, joy, compliments, beautiful meals, and the occasional glorious overstatement. This is not excess. This is accuracy.
So here is the toast.
To the woman worth celebrating slowly. To laughter that still gets better. To style that does not ask permission. To beauty that comes with stories and standards. To October becoming a season of delight because she is in it.
May the month feel flattering. May the dinners be wonderful. May the cake be excellent. May the compliments be correct. And may PaulaKah continue, in one form or another, for many Octobers to come.
